Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee exists to promote public awareness and increase visibility of the field of school psychology, maintain a digital presence for the Association, and produce a monthly newsletter for members.
The Public Relations Committee shall:
- promote the work of the Association by facilitating activities during School Psychology Awareness Week
- coordinate media releases for award recipients and other NCSPA events of interest
- produce and submit news releases focusing on school psychology contributions at the local and regional levels
- communicate with the NASP Public Relations/Public Information (PR/PI) Committee
- maintain the NCSPA promotional and sale items
- assist with recruitment efforts at the local, regional, and national levels
- provide publicity for events
- maintain and update the NCSPA website and social media platforms (e.g., posting job/internship opportunities, sharing content from Board members and committees)
- consult for areas of growth for the Board related to social media (e.g. new platforms to share information) and technology in general
- create and disseminate the monthly newsletter to current membership
