Help now! School Psychologist Positions at Risk

Good News: It is our understanding that the 6 NC School Districts listed below have state funding for 6 new School Psychologists NOW and these positions are open & available, ready for hire!

Bad News: The funding will revert back to the State (i.e., lost by that LEA forever) if a School Psychologist has not accepted the position before April 30, 2024. [Actual start date can be later].

  1. Avery County Schools
  2. Weldon City Schools
  3. McDowell County Schools
  4. Mt. Airy City Schools
  5. Tyrell County Schools
  6. Vance County Schools
PLEASE HELP TODAY BY CONTACTING ANYONE/EVERYONE YOU KNOW
  • RETIRED SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS
  • SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS HOME ON LEAVE
  • SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS COMPLETING THEIR DEGREE THIS SPRING
  • SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS FROM YOUR ALMA MATER
  • SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST FRIENDS FROM OUT-OF-STATE!

Hint: THINK CREATIVELY - this is an opportunity for School Psychologists to negotiate their contract terms (work hours, job responsibilities, and perhaps even salary/signing bonus).

Contact Megan Cardin (our School Psychologist Recruitment/Retention Coordinator, DPI School Psychologist Consultant) if you know of someone or have that “someone” contact her directly TODAY!

Thank you for your immediate attention to this: NCSPA worked very hard to secure special state funding for SP Recruitment and we cannot let these precious dollars go wasted. This is your chance to make a difference.
